Welcome Back to BASIS Prague!

The beginning of a new school year is always a special moment at BASIS Prague — filled with fresh energy, new friendships, and exciting opportunities. To mark the start of 2025–2026, both our Head of Preschool and our Head of School have shared their reflections and warm wishes for the year ahead. Their messages capture the spirit of our community, from the joyful first steps in preschool to the inspiring journey through our elementary and middle school programs.

Our Head of Preschool, Ms. Táňa Slobodová, shares her thoughts on the start of the year:

Welcome back, and a big hello to all our new friends! A new school year always feels like the start of a fresh, exciting story — full of new discoveries and little adventures waiting for us. I can already imagine the happy chatter in our classrooms, the excitement of trying something for the first time, and all the smiles we’ll share along the way.

Our Goldfish will be making their first joyful splashes into preschool life — and some will be returning for another year of fun and friendship. Our Sea Turtles will keep swimming toward new challenges and learning new skills. No matter the class, every day will be full of laughter, learning, and growing together.

I hope our preschool continues to feel like a second home — a place where children feel safe, curious, and happy. I can’t wait to meet new faces, welcome back familiar ones, and fill our days with songs, stories, play, and discovery.

Here’s to a wonderful year ahead — let’s make it one to remember!
